Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood - “Gotcha!”

Okay, so it’s no secret that Assassin’s Creed is a pretty new series that made a pretty big splash to the scene. When Brotherhood came out, I was a little concerned about the mechanics. Specifically the multiplayer. I was fearful of what it would be.
The single player picks RIGHT up after the storyline in Assassin’s Creed II. Almost minutes after. It pulls you back into the story mode very quickly. Not as many collectibles as it’s a much shorter campaign, but it is still a sizable campaign that could stand on it’s own merit.
Now for Multiplayer. It surprised me in every possible sense of the phrase. It was a blast. I didn’t expect it to be fun. I didn’t expect it to be challenging. I was half expecting “Op, another multiplayer. Scoreboard whores, unbalanced play, this will suck.” I was dead wrong.
After you and/or your team picks which character model you are, you are then launched into the virtual world, hosted by a system called the Animus, where you combat one another. Here’s the thing… Stealth entirely for the win. Subtlety for maximum points. Cloak & Dagger playing methods reign supreme. It seemed to ring a bell with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory! The team based mechanics of being the hunter or the hunted really gave a fun dynamic. I can’t emphasize how important communication is to make this an enjoyable venture.
That all said and done, you should check this out. Do it. Do it now. And try to resist the urge of sneaking up on your prey and yelling “gotcha!” as your shank them to their death!
